Atleast mention the schools you want to be chanced for .
Also what country are you from? Looking at your internship and CGPA im assuming India. But there is no such thing as ‘National Merit Scholar’ in India.
For the following colleges:
UIUC,GEORGIATECH, BERKELEY, U CHICAGO, DUKE, BROWN…for comp science.
National Merit Scholar Certificate issued by CBSE for 10th Grade…
Thanks in advance!
Make sure you distinguish “National Merit Scholar Certificate” when applying (as there is a National Merit Scholarship in the US, which is done by taking the PSAT/NMSQT).
Your grades and scores are good, but these universities are quite competitive, and I don’t see much “wow” factor in your EC’s (unless I’m missing something important, such as your internships). Also, how much can you and/or your family afford?
Yes, your right.Have not given details about internships…but all related to comp sc and electrical engineering…
Many awards for Science essays, Maths Prize tests etc also…
Not applying for any aid…
Thanks
Your best chance is at UIUC however, there too it is going to be tough as computer science is their most difficult major to get into.
You have a chance at Georgia Tech but the other schools there are slim chances as they are really competitive
Thanks for your honest opinion!
What are your stats? Have you got in yet ( on ed/ ea)?
Good chance for the first three. Last three, you’d chances are a bit slim. Maybe look into a few more colleges you’d be interested in attending.
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19209443#Comment_19209443
