Any honest comments will be greatly appreciated!

good chance, imo

I think it will be hard with a relatively low GPA and SATs. How much the boyscout stuff makes up for that - IDK. Just my opinion - Good luck!

GPA is top 10% and 1340 SAT is well within the middle 50%... I don't think it's fair to call those stats "relatively low", just IMO

Yes, I can see that, and see your point; but the middle 50 and below are usually accompanied by very good ECs. I guess I'm overweighting my personal experiences though.
You are correct and I apologize for my original analysis. I forgot the whole in state thing too =/

The Boy Scouts definitely shows commitment! Its not a shoo-in, but you definitely have a good shot!

Thanks for the comments soccerguy and HeretoHelp!

No worries HeretoHelp, I am a little concerned about my GPA as well. However, there isn't much I can do now but wait and avoid senoritis... so my anxiety is fading.

Haha, always a good thing to do! =D
And those AP credits can be REALLY helpful!

Very likely in. Being a guy helps, too.

AND an Eagle Scout!

Sheesh!

If you don't get in, I'm gonna complain to my governor!

Good luck~

I am a senior at William and Mary. I believe that you will be admitted. Eagle Scout....great job! Best of luck!

Pedsox

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Caltech - yea, I read that guys have a higher acceptance rate for some reason.

Linda - haha thanks... I'll let you know if I get denied :P

pedsox - thanks

are you applying?

UVA (my #1)
CNU/VCU (Backup)

My MY report transcript put me at 17/315 for rank... so top 5.4% now.

Just got my rejection letter today........

I am so sorry and BAFFLED. I understand why my D was rejected, but your qualifications are stellar.

Let us know what other schools you hear from.

And, let me say this -- they may have felt you would have happier elsewhere --

Still, hard to believe.

Take care

Linda

Thanks for the kinds words.

I'm a little confused as well, a wait list letter would have been more understandable... considering I know people with lower stats than me that got in.

I did get into VCU (half-ride) and CNU (honors)... but I don't feel they are where I belong. Not very optimistic about UVA at this point though.

I really wish I had done more research into University of Richmond's financial aid before deciding not to apply because of the ridiculous tuition.

Oh well, nothing I can do now... will have to try to transfer in a couple years if I am forced to go to one of my backup schools.

that is ridiculous, I don't understand how you didn't get in...sorry man.

I have followed this thread for quite sometime and I am sorry you didnt make W&M. Don't worry too much. VCU is a good school. Plus you will do well wherever you go.

I have high hopes for you at UVA… of course I had high hopes for you at W&M too. Do your best wherever you end up. You can transfer, or you might love it where you go. Best of luck.
