Please chance me!!

I am an IB Senior in florida. I have a 4.2 weighted gpa and a 3.5 unweighted gpa. I am lacrosse team captain and a bunch of other clubs and activities as well the first generation from my family to go to college?
My is all IB and AP with one honors course
I have a 1420 SAT Score,29 ACT, and if mismatched a 31 ACT.
I am applying early decisionI, and am a very good writer I think
What are my chances?

Thanks

thats not coolguys…i need info

Your GPA seems a little low. Your SATs are within the profile. Your Ecs are probably average. The “first in family” argument will probably help, but of course it is not unique. Write great essays, show demonstrated interest, avoid sounding cocky and give it your best shot. I’m no expert, not working in the admissions office, but I would say it is a close call for you, which is good news because Emory is highly selective. Below is the Emory profile:

Academics - Admitted Students
Average GPA, middle 50% 3.71 - 3.98 / 4.0 unweighted scale
SAT verbal, middle 50% 640–730
SAT math, middle 50% 660–750
SAT total, middle 50% 1320–1460
ACT, middle 50% 29–33

thanks a bunch for the reply,
hey, here is my full profile,so can you please reassess me based on a percentage,I really appreciate it.
again 3.5 unweighted,4.2 weighted. senior schedule is all AP/ib with 1 hon class.
Total in high school I will have taken 10 AP courses and 6 IB courses. and everything else honors/pre-ib(weighted).
I am the varsity lax captain, and a soccer club captain. Spanish,National, and math honor societies.
Total by the end of highschool at least 150 volunteer hours.
I am also a questbridge applicant, but did not select any colleges through their national college match.program so that I could instead apply early decison. Can i use the questbridge app to apply to Emory for Early Decision I?
I have visited emory, seen a video, talked to counselors etc. and love emory,it would be a dream to go there.
thanks…

The 3.5 GPA which, at first blush, seemed a little low, sounds much better in the context of your rigorous course load, Questbridge/first-in-family status, busy schedule with ECs, etc. Elite colleges seem to want to consider GPA and SATs in the context of your circumstances in life, so that will probably help you. If you convey to Emory your demonstrated interest, I think that you have a good shot at gaining admittance. As a non-expert on the subject of college acceptances, I am understandably hesitant to lay odds on your chances. My guess is that you are accepted.

thanks for the info… hopefully i get in

Also, Apply To Oxford Campus Along With Emory Main Campus (It Doesn’t Cost Any Extra Money or Effort.) Oxford Is A Little Less Competitive But Still Excellent. After Finishing Two Years At Oxford You Automatically Matriculate Into Emory’s Main Campus. It’s A Great Option For Those Who Love Emory.
