Well, your CR SAT score is pretty low, but your SAT 2 in history should balance that out. Plus, you obviously have good grades in some of your non-math/science classes and that will matter way more than your test scores anyway. Plus, it’s clear that you have high math/science aptitude, so that is a big plus.

Other than that, your profile looks pretty much what schools like Smith look for in a student. Good luck with your application!

Since SAT is optional, should I send it too? I mean, I can just send in my subject tests, so they will know my math would probably be pretty high for SAT. Don’t you think it would be better for them not to see my CR score?

Well, it doesn’t really matter either way. SATs are so de-emphasized in the Smith admissions process that the 530 isn’t going to kill you. I mean, I’m not an admissions officer, but when I look at what you posted I see: This is a student strong in math and sciences, pretty good in everything else. Maybe not good at analyzing text, but tested highly in writing (important for Smith science courses, there is a lot of writing involved), and her GPA indicates that she does well academically overall.

I think you may want to highlight that 740 in math and the 660 in writing, and I don’t think it’s bad for them to see that in terms of testing, you’re not super at analyzing text, as long as your actual grades in your actual English classes are pretty good. That’s what they’re going to be primarily focused on, your transcript, not your score report.

Your math is quite excellent. I would suggest seeing if they would consider a score report sent after the app dude date and that you retake the test and focus on upping that reading score.

Not like any of us actually have a say, but you have several impressive accomplishments I’m sure Smith will be a fan of if it makes you feel any better. Send your scores if you want to spend the money, though & considering how little confidence Admissions holds in standardized test scores accurately evaluating applicants, I don’t think your CR SAT score will hurt you very much at all.
