<p>Wow you have a decreasing trend in your GPA…can anyone comment on this? I realise he has fabulous standardised test scores-no doubt. But I have a feeling that your declining GPA will be a problem.</p>

<p>I disagree with seadog; you are not definitely “in”. In my school, a couple people with the exact same stats as you have actually gotten waitlisted. If you spend a couple minutes on the chicago forum, you would find out that chicago looks at applicants holistically, as most premier universities claim to do. </p>
<p>I believe academically, you meet Chicago’s standards; however, as I said before, that is not a guaranteed “in”. You need to have good essays (Chicago is known to like creative writing) and you need good recommendations etc. etc. etc… If you do that then you have a high chance of getting in–not a guarantee, however.</p>
<p>Some people with perfect scores don’t get in, so apply to alot of top schools and if you really want Chicago learn about their educational philosophies and show how well you fit in on your essays, if you do fit in that is.</p>
