Yup, that's me.

**Colleges/b
Penn (Wharton) ED
Dartmouth
Columbia
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UC Santa Barbara
USC
NYU
U Mich - Ann Arbor
Williams College & other reach east coast liberals (Amherst, Tufts, Haverford, etc)
Connecticut College
Brandeis
Boston College
Boston U
Georgetown

Okay, sorry that's a lot, but any input will be greatly appreciated :D

Wharton: high reach

I would focus more on Georgetown and UMich Ross.

Yeah I figured Wharton would be a super high reach haha.
Is georgetown more of a match or reach for me?

Anyone else please?

Penn, Darthmouth, Columbia : high reach

Most of the others should be a reach. Georgetown I hear isnt that hard to get into, so that might be a low reach/ high match. Try to get your Sat score up to a 2300+ since you’re Asian.
:P

Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1530629-chances-getting-into-upenn-ed-2018-a-2.html

Yeah, I’m still hesitating over whether I should retake the SAT, because I don’t know if I can guarantee 2300+, especially not a 800 in CR since I barely knew vocab.

I feel like you definitely have a chance at all the UC’s you mentioned. I’m not too informed about the others

Thanks! I prefer east coast liberals much more than UCs, but as a Californian, applying to UCs is basically expected.

i think you have a good shot for U mich and NYU, IVies would be reach but with good chances. ( idk about UC tho) Good luck! you’ll definitely get into many of them.

thanks

haha I am looking at the same schools. Wharton, Columbia, Dartmouth are high reaches. I’d say you are a low reach at Georgetown and you are a match everywhere else. NYU(unless stern), UCSB, USC, BU, BC, and etc are safeties for you.

Same comments as everyone else if u want to get into Wharton u should def take the sat’s again

Your GPA and SAT IIs are really great; you COULD retake the SAT if you are willing to put the effort during college app seasons, but if not, it wouldn’t bring your application down. I’m a little confused since you mentioned not being sure if you could get a 800 in CR because you don’t know the vocab…but you did? Perhaps it was a typo, but boosting your W section from a 670 should be easier than for CR. You could even try your luck at the ACT.

Your ECs and leadership is good, and I feel like your overall application will put you right on many schools on your list. However, the admitted people to Wharton are on an entirely different level. I don’t see any ECs directly related to business that would give it a boost for Wharton.

Also, as Asians it’s kind of an anti-hook (we’re in the same place). I couldn’t comment on USC, Connecticut or Brandeis since my knowledge of these schools are insufficient.

-Penn (Wharton) ED - Reach
-Dartmouth - Reach
-Columbia - Reach
-UC Berkeley - Match
-UCLA - Match
-UC Santa Barbara - Low Match
-NYU - Match
-U Mich - Ann Arbor - High Match
-Williams College & other reach east coast liberals (Amherst, Tufts, Haverford, etc) - Reach
-Boston College - Match
-Boston U - Low Match
-Georgetown - High Match/Low Reach

I’d focus on the Ucs because they’re more realistic and you’ll have a better chance getting into Berkeley with a top 10 business school. Umich you’d also have a great chance so focus on that. Georgetown has a great business program. So to conclude I’d focus on the three as high matches/low reaches and I’d still ed to Wharton because it’s a crapshoot anyways doesn’t matter if you’re over or under qualified.

you sat are far above okay and I don’t think you need to worry about them that much, especially since you CR+M is above 1500. Also You in no way need a 2300 or above to get into Wharton. a 2210 makes you competitive and a few extra points on the Sat are not going to make or break you entire app.

This thread might make my point clear about your SAT.
