Also, would they look down at all on taking a light course load each semester (11 units and less)? I will also be working 20-30 hours a week during this time. I’m thinking about taking classes in the winter and summer as well which would make the course load even lighter than what I posted (maybe 8 units a semester).

Ok so for the two year plan this is what I think I want to go with:

SUMMER BEFORE 12TH GRADE: 2 (6 UNITS)
-ART HISTORY
-ANTHRO 2
FALL DURING 12TH GRADE: 3 (9 UNITS)
-PHIL 1
-SOCIO 1
-ENG 2
SPRING DURING 12TH GRADE: 2 (7 UNITS)
-ECON 1
-GEO 1 (LAB)
SUMMER AFTER 12TH GRADE: 2 (6 UNITS)
-ECON 2
-ANTHRO 1
FIRST FALL: 2 (10 UNITS)
-CALC 1
-ACCT 1
FIRST WINTER: 1 (3 UNITS)
-ENG LIT
FIRST SPRING: 2 (10 UNITS)
-CALC 2
-ACCT 2
FIRST SUMMER: 1 (3 UNITS)
-ENG 31
SECOND FALL: 2 (8 UNITS)
-JAP 1
-MATH 52 (STATS)
SECOND WINTER: 1 (3 UNITS)
-BUS 1
SECOND SPRING: 1 (3 UNITS)
-JAP 2

I think it’s pretty well balanced and not too rigorous. I tried to take the difficult 5 unit classes with just one other 5 unit class a semester so I don’t wear myself out since I’ll be working as well. I know they look at the difficulty of your course work and your course load but considering that I’ll be working 20-30 hours a week and actively participating in ECs and volunteering and such, would taking a relatively light course load be perfectly fine?

Thanks a ton for your guys’ input

I would take the two courses over the summer, see how it goes, then re-evaluate. Actually I would take the one course, see how it goes, and decide whether you want to take the second. Studying hard for BC calclus in high school is going to be very important, taking so many courses during 12th grade may not be a good idea. It might be better to focus on your calculus.

Looks good…challenging, the way it should be.

So just to make sure, they won’t look down on my schedule because I’m taking a relatively light course load each semester? I think I’m pretty sure of going with the two year route now after careful thinking.

Also, do you guys think taking econ 1 and 2 concurrently during the summer next year is OK? It would more than likely be from the same instructor and will be taken online.

And one last thing, I was looking over the bio science breadth req and was wondering if Psychology 100A (listed on the haas site) is the same thing as Psychology 101 (from my CC)? [Degree Requirement-L&S Breadth List: Biological Science](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirements/breadth7/bs.html)

Lower division economics courses are a joke, pile them on. Same for math lower-division courses.
