I asked my counseler and he told me I should keep multivariable calc in my ECs. Also, it might look like I don't have dedication, but I go to nearly every meeting each year, it's just that they don't meet very often!

hm it's been 2 and a half hours or so, I'll bump. :]

So "working out at local gym" would be considered an EC?

I mean, it's something I spend a bunch of my free time doing... it's school related (required sports credits at my school), and it's something I enjoy. So, yeah, I consider it an EC.

I wouldn't put down the gym as an EC unless you explain the sports credit thing more. I spend more time at the gym then any other "EC" but I certainly didn't list it.

And is "writing short stories and poetry" a formal club or just something you like to do in your free time? You could certainly explain that you enjoy doing that in your free time but I wouldn't list that as an EC. I do alot of things outside of school/college/ECs but those are hobbies which is not what most colleges are asking for when they ask for ECs(that's what I think atleast)
