Out of curiosity, can someone PLEASE explain the amount of money involved in the following prepaid plans specifically at UCF ------
1. 4 year university plan, who much does this cover per credit hour ?
2. Dormitory plan ? Which dorm do you get to select or how much
can you use if you live off campus ?
3. Tuition differential plan, how much does this cover per credit hour ?
4. Investment plan, 529, what percentage can I pull out per semester ?
5. Florida Bright Futures, not sure of the name, but the highest level, how
much does it award for each credit ?
6. What is the total fee per credit hour at UCF ?

I can give you some information regarding Florida Prepaid College Program, but do know that it is off the top of my head, and not 100% accurate (more like… 90%!)

For the four-year university plan, there are two options: one that covers schools’ fees and other random fees, such as gym/lab use, and one that covers only your tuition. However, neither of these will necessarily cover your costs 100% at any given school, including UCF. Ultimately, the school has a predetermined cost per credit hour, and also a predetermined amount/percentage that is covered by Florida Prepaid. In UCF’s case it is pretty generous; something around $105/credit hour for the tuition-only plan, and around $120/credit hour for the tuition+fees plan. Expect to owe some amount of money out of pocket each semester, but not a ton (likely between $300 - 500 depending on your class load, or less if you have the tuition+fees plan.)
