DO THE CHANGES THAT MAKE OUR LIVES EASIER NOT NECESSARILY MAKE THEM BETTER?
As life changes its course from the ever normal to the hyperactive one, there are always effects lying in hand. With such changes comes the need of adaptation. Although, these changes may be adopted in order to make life easier, its not always necessary to have a positive result to it. The introduction and people’s craze towards the social networking sites, and the introduction of less time consuming alternatives are examples that can buttress the stand that I have taken.
With the start of the 21st century, the technological life of the world has adopted a huge change with a rather pragmatic result than a virtual one. With introduction of social networking sites including face book, twitter, viber, etc it is true that our life has had a huge change which has made people come close to each other through the means of virtual communication. However, because of such sites people now rarely meet the other in person, they rarely send letters, they rarely keep printed pictures as memories now. Humans are social animals, but in order to make them more social, such networking sites are just doing things that make people the exactly opposite of what they intend to do, that is make them more social.
Many forms of developmental works have been carried out all over the world because of which people are being much more busier. In this process, the several food joints all around the world have started establishing drive throughs that have made people save their time in an effective manner. Today, these drive throughs in food joints have made people lazier thus giving rise to obesity, decreased social gathering thus decreasing the rate of social standing, minimizing the enjoyment in sharing one’s moment with people around. As a result of such changes people not only result in anti-social status but have a bigger effect even in their health thus increasing obesity, pollution related problems and also mental tensions.
Not everything we invent have the same effect as we intend. Sometimes, changes made for a long lasting assuage can invite an amalgam of negative impacts thus making their motives only fleeting.
