<p>People in positions of authority are not destined to be always correct. They can make wrong decisions too, which are unsatisfactory for public. Considering this, it is always important for peope to question the ideas and decisions of people. History bears witness to the incidents when people in positions of authority made decisions, which were questioned and thus not impemented.</p>
<p>Britishers ruled Indian Sub-continent during most of the first half of twentieth century. however, people of sub-continent were not contented with their rule and were struggling to throw them away from ruling position leaders of both Hindus and Muslims were fighting hard to put on end to British rule, protests, fasting, violent demonstrations were all ways, through which Muslims and Hindus sought to end British rule. Mahatma Gandhi speached of Indian freedom movement, launched quit India campaign in 1942. this campaign forced Britishers to leave subcontinent. on the other hand Muslims wanted their own country. finally, Britishers agreed to leave India in 1947, but didnot show their intention to partition sub continent. Muslims were outraged at this. they knew that once Britishers left India, Hindus would be on the driving seat, who will never grant them their own country. as a result, Muslims questioned the decision of Britishers. They clearly expressed their disapproval of this decision. They remonstrated again this decision through protest, petitions and civil war. Unable to control the situations. Britishers announced that they would also divide subcontinent and grant muslims, their own country in 1947. As a result Muslims were ecstatic. This incident clearly shows the importance of questioning the decisions of people in authority Muslims did that and as a result, their pragmatism did eventually pay off.
Another example that shows importance of questioning the decisions of people in authority is from the politics of Egypt. Egypt president Hosmi Mubarak was the longest serving president of Egypt. But, peoplr were not satisfied with his leadership. But, the supreme court of Egypt once again elected him as the president in 2011. Disillusioned by this, people of Egypt held long protest, petitions and viots to force Supreme Court to take back the decision. The people were eventually triumphant in their cause and hosni Mubarak was eventually removed from presidency.
These examples clearly express the significance of questioning the decisions. Had the people not done this people in authority would have been indifferent towards peoples thoughts.</p>
