PLEASE Help cut this list a little

Ok so here are my plans for RD/schools I've already applied to:

University of Pennsylvania ED
University of Connecticut EA
University of North Carolina EA
University of Michigan ROLLING

Harvard College RD (near a city with a good night life)

Boston University RD (Merit Aid Available and great safety in a large city)

Northwestern University RD (Great football team for such a school, near a nice city, lots to do)

Washington University in St. Louis RD (Merit Aid Available and near St. Louis which is a city with stuff to do)

Duke University RD (Merit Aid Available, amazing basketball team, and huge college town)

Rice University RD (Merit Aid Available and near a big city)

Columbia University RD (In the city and really nice from my vists)

Tufts University RD (In the city and really nice from my vists)

McGill University RD (Great safety and in an amazing city)

I like all of the schools a lot through my research, though some more than others.

BU is my super quality safety school that I'd love to go to with a full ride or something comparable

The others are all strong in various asepcts that I like: sports and big cities

I can't decide which two or three schools to drop because my mom capped my apps at 11 (though she really just wants me to do 10 apps). I already have 4 apps in, so what do you guys think.

I feel like each school has something amazing to offer me if I get in and it feels bad sacrificing that.

Tough question without knowing your stats and interests.

One thing you can do is put together some realistic scenarios of possible acceptances. If there are schools in the acceptances that you probably would never pick, particularly if there are schools of similar selectivity that you would definitely prefer, knock the losers off your list.

I would also realistically assess your chances for merit aid at the schools that offer it. (U Mich offers some too btw.) If your chances for merit aid are slim at Duke, for example, that is the first school I would axe. No city there, and I think its a bit overrated.

Unless you are in-state, or in love with a specific program, I'd bump Michigan or North Carolina. And I would keep U of Connecticut only if you are in state or your stats make acceptances at the other schools on your list unlikely. It's much less selective. The other outlier is McGill. It is a very cool school in a very cool city (IMHO) but per my point above ask yourself how likely you are to select it if you have several acceptances. If the answer is not too likely, I'd knock McGill off.

reidm.... I got 2280 SATs, top 2% of class, in a public competitive suburban high school, do lots of clubs, heavily involved in running, got some awards/recogniition in chemistry/math

my interests: i like business, making money, going out, and running, and I LOVE FOOTBALL as well as other fun spectator sports (I'm obsessed)

I am in state for UConn... and I already applied to Uconn, Umich, and Unc

anyone else

In my opinion, cut McGill. It used to be on my list, but I got rid of it when cutting off schools. It doesn't have very good options in terms of on-campus housing and dining. There aren't that many clubs there for such a big school. IMO the campus isn't that nice either.

It sounds like BU, Columbia, and Tufts (both "really nice" from your visits) are there to stay. Depending on financial situation, you may want to cut Harvard and Northwestern, since they don't have merit aid. Or maybe Duke since it's not in a city like the others.

keep uconn on your list for the great honors program and good merit aid, not to mention their unbelievable basketball teams, up and coming football, and perenniel contender soccer teams ;) .
i'd get rid of mcgill (not good school spirit/specator sports). also, even though columbia is amazing, if you love college sports, you wont be happy there (their football team is downright terrible)
