PLEASE HELP!! I got two F's in my one major class.

Hi,
I got two F in calculus 1B class ,which is my major requirement, in the last winter and this spring quarter.
Hopefully, I will retake it in third time in this fall and replace the grade.
Does it looks bad to get UC university even though I can replace it?
I will apply to UC in this fall.
Thanks, a lot!

TWO F’s? You won’t be transferring anywhere.

Depends on where you’re applying and for what, but, in general, you should be fine so long as you pass it in the fall.

Thank you so much for your reply! I would like to transfer UC Sandiego, Irvine and Santa barbara. So Do you guys think these university don’t look my two F’s in my calculus 1B if I can replace it in Fall??

Sorry for asking many time. But I really have to make sure abt it since I asked two counselor in my school but they said different things each other.

They will consider them if you have a long history of repeatedly failing courses and then barely passing them, for instance. It may also matter more if you’re hoping to get into engineering or an otherwise impacted major.

I had an off year where I got a few D’s and F’s due to personal problems. I retook all but one, which I did academic renewal on, and was accepted to UCD, UCI, and UCSC for computer science with a 3.36, so I’m a data point in support of the position that it’s definitely possible.

Dear derse4444,
Thank you thank you so much for your replying.

So how about my situation,?? My major is business and I just got F’s in this winter and spring quarter. I could get C in the spring but I didn’t wanna get it and want get better score in next fall since I already got C’s in my first calculus 1A class. (at this time, i didn’t retake it ) I don’t have any F’s and W’s except my calculus 1B class.
I also think my situation would not go to Academic renewal,

From what I remember, UCI bus. admin. is difficult to get into, so you need to have everything else on your application be very good. I’m not sure what to say about the other two since I don’t think they have business majors.
