I got admissions from the following schools:
UVA
U of Rochester
NYU(GSP of CAS)
UIUC
UW-Madison
Boston U

Waitlist:
Emory

No decision yet
UMichigan-Ann Arbor(LSA)

I want to study something related to business, but have not decided, maybe finance.

Which one should I choose? Consider whose business school is better and the difficulty of enter that business school. Thanks for your help!

BTW, should I wait for Emory?

Don't wait for Emory, but stay on the waitlist if you like it.
Do you live in Illinois, Michigan, Virginia or Wisconsin?
If so, you'd need a pretty compelling reason to spend OOS tuition at a large state school.
For Rochester, BU, and Emory, if you get in, how were your visits?
If you are positive about business, I'd drop any school where you'd need to reapply for junior year business school admission.

Depends on your major. Illinois and Wisconsin have accounting programs matched only by Penn and Texas.

well it seems you are unsure about majoring in business. i would go to UVA. They have a top notch business program and the best part is that you dont have to declare your major until your junior year. This allows you to change to say..... pre-med if you ever decide to go upon that path. Overall UVa is a good school with a good business program. Regardless what you major in, you are going to get a good education from a respectable school

UVA FTW!

PS: Nomah's bettah!

Thanks for your replies.
I am a international student from China.
Accounting is not my first choice.
Whose internship and job opportunity is better?

Another Q:
Why McIntire is school of "Commerce", but not "Business"? Does this difference matter a lot?

UVa is just old fashioned. most schools changed their name. The term "commerce" is more of a 1900-1950 term. For example NYU Stern used to be called NYU school of commerce and accountancy and Villanova SChool of business used to be called villanova school of commerce. It doesn't really matter.

Out of all your schools i would say UVa is the best overall and the best for business. However, you will have to work hard to maintain a decent 3.3(at least) to get accepted into the business program. But as the economy heads into a depression, business programs won't nearly be as competitive.

Thank you.
Are you in UVa now?
GPA may not be the thing I worry about most, but I really feel uncertain of my "Leadership".
I don't know how to show that in order to get into McIntire.

nah i am going to nyu stern next year

i researched quite a bit on business programs though.
i am sure you can get in if you meet the criteria. you can call up the school. the most important is your gpa and the others are secondary

Wow!
I love NYU Stern.
I applied to CAS and planned to transfer into Stern if I get admission of CAS.
But I only got GSP of CAS so it is really hard to go to Stern.

Another thing to consider is that business is concentrated in the junior and senior year. Nearly all schools accredited by AACSB require little more than 7 pre-reqs (calculus, statistics, communication, economics and accounting) and about 15 in major classes. You can wait to study business. You can use the extra electives to study something else.
