Please help me. I'm so doomed.

Okay. Yes. I am freaking out.
I am currently a Junior and I have a C as my overall grade so far in AP Calculus AB (course ends in June). I'm screwed yes. I know. i'm going to TRY to raise it to a C+.....ahh..i hate life.
I also had a C+ in HN Chemistry last year, which is totally unacceptable. I know (TT_TT) ...

However I have maintained almost straight A's/A+'s and 2-3 B+'s so far (entire 3 years now).
I am taking AP bio and AP lit right now along with this stupid AP math class... -_-

My GPA is like a 90 (it's low...i know...) .... -_- and my SAT is a 2040......( also low. but i'm retaking it in October)

And i'm taking 3 subject test (math, bio and english lit)

Extracurriculars:
2 year high school Golf team + 1 year of long distance Girls track
3 years of Asian club (secretary... lame haha i know)
12 years of piano (5 years at Longy School of Music)
Scholastic Gold key Art award 2013
Science Olympiad 11th place for Disease detectives and 8th in forestry-out of 45 schools- (states only... :/ )
about 100-150 hours of Community service.
National Honors Society member (we don't do anything at our school...i just got accpeted....haha)
and yea......i don't think i have anymore..unfortunately....

I have no chance of getting into Tufts University right.......or BU...or Northeastern...right...
I'm hopeless....right.
Somebody please help me. I'm so desperate (TT_TT)

It wouldn’t hurt to calm down. A couple of Cs isn’t going to be the end of your academic career. Your GPA doesn’t seem to be horrible (though admittedly I’m far more accustomed to the 4.0 scale as opposed to the out of 100 scale), and your SAT certainly isn’t bad, though based on the stats I can find, it does seem to be towards the lower end of admitted students.

Could you get into Tufts or BU or Northeastern? Maybe. But you don’t need to go to a Tier 1 school to get a good education, or get a good job. if you don’t think you can get into those schools, look for schools you think you can get into, and apply to them. Focus more on the quality of programs of interest as opposed to things like overall rankings.

a few bad grades won’t kill you. I think I got a 74 in Physics Honors and a 71 in AP Pre Calc my junior year, and I still got into Northeastern and Boston University. Just don’t let it become a habit haha and pick your game up.

First of all calm down, take a breath. Where ever you’re getting this pressure, you need to take a breath and realize school is not the pinnacle of life.

Now, lets talk about that “C in AP Calc”. Did you know the rigor of your course is looked at just as much as your grade? I was visiting NEU this past weekend, and the admissions department flat-out stated "Honors Courses get an automatic .5 raise, and AP courses get an automatic 1.0 raise, up to a 5.0). You c in AP Calc is ~3.0, raised 1 full point, to ~4.0.

Don’t take that as permission to slack off, but realize your 3.0 in AP Calc is going to beat someone who has a 4.0 in a regular class.

You’re doing good kid, just keep it up.

I’ll tell you one thing - if you don’t calm down, you’re going to burn out. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot. Relax.

Two C’s are not the end of the world. First of all, what is your intended major? I had two C’s in high school (one in a math class, one in a science class), but all A’s and high B’s in my English, history, and language classes. I got a 2190 on my SATs (800 CR, 800 W, 590 M), and an 800 on my English Lit SAT II. I’m a journalism major, so I’m fairly certain they focused on my English/reading/writing credentials. If you’re looking to major in the humanities or something similar, I wouldn’t worry too much about those C’s. Just keep your other grades as high as they are now.

If you are planning on majoring in a STEM field, it’s a little more of an issue, but again, not life-ruining. Are there any special circumstances that caused you to get those grades? If so, explain that to them, and explain how you’re working on it in order to do better in the future.

In any case, this nervous breakdown you’re having is not going to help you now, and it’s not going to help you in the future. Kids like you freak out in college and wind up underperforming. Chill out. Grades are not the be-all and end-all of your young life.
