This is my second semester at college , i am a sophomore, last semester i took 7 credits:
- Microeconomics ( 3 credits)
- Accounting 1 ( 3 credits)
- Computer applications ( 1 credit)
and five hours of english per week that are not counted in my credits because i had 360 on the sat writting so i had to take a low level english course.
for my second semester i am thinking about taking 18 credits:
- Macroeconomics ( 3 credits)
- accounting 2 ( 3 credits)
- english 101 ( 3 credits)
- business statistics ( 3 credits)
- mathematics methods for economics ( 3 credits)
- introduction to marketing ( 3 credits)
is this a lot for my second semester in college?
by the way , i am doing double majors business economics and economics finance

In what way are you a sophomore?

If it’s just your second semester in college, 18 credits is likely too much. Especially with English 101 being one of the classes given your background.

Last semester you carried the equivalent of 12 credits, and 5 of those were remedial English. Going from 12 to 18 is a big jump, especially with all of the reading and writing that the Econ and Marketing classes are going to involve. From your writing here, it looks like English is not your native language. If I’m correct about that, you can expect to still struggle in the classes that have a lot of reading and writing. I would suggest that you drop back to no more than 15 credits for academic classes. If you need to take more credits than that in order to graduate on time from your college, then this semester would be a good time to complete any Phys. Ed. or Health credits that you need. Those classes usually do not have much homework.

I agree with the other posters. Econ and Marketing are going to be difficult. How were your grades last sememster? Did you do well in those classes. That can also determine how many classes you should take this semester. Can you drop one so you are not so overwhelmed? I would keep those that are prerequisites so that doesn’t keep you from taking classes next year. Are you trying to graduate in 4 years with the dbl major? That is going to be difficult to do.

I am in an American University in Lebanon , and i did not do Freshman because i had a French Baccalaureat so i studied in school 12 years not 11 years like in American high schools.
And this semester i had in microeconomics A- and A in accounting and B+ in computer applications.

None of us here are very familiar with your university, so we only can give you general advice. I think that this is a good question for you to ask you advisor about.
