I just can't switch my mind to go to UIUC... (although i am very intersted in this school).. could you please help me decide? If you know, please tell me the ranking of psychology in wisonsin.. (undergrad)

If you really want to go to Wisconsin, then go for it! Rankings shouldn't be the most important aspect of your college decision; the most important thing is to get a good all-around undergraduate education (especially if you plan on going to grad school). That said, Wisconsin does have a good psychology program (15th, or thereabouts, I think), so the difference in their programs is probably not very large (in the Midwest, Michigan has the best psychology program by far). UIUC is a very good school and doesn't really get the publicity it deserves, but Wisconsin is a lot better known on a national scale. The bottom line- don't change your college choice based on a slight difference in rankings. :)

Go to Wisconsin, better overall reputation> reputation of graduate department almost always.

UW is ranked 9th. It is tied with several in the next group right below UI which is tied for 5th. Not a significant difference on the ug level IMHO.

Thanx! any other suggestions?

warblersrule86 : Actually i was deffered in Michigan sniff T_T

As mentioned by another poster, for your purposes any academic differences are not significant. Base your decision on other factors.
