PLEASE HELP ME! U of Missouri VS. U of Minnesota for accounting.

Hey guys

Currently, I am having hard time deciding my school for my undergraduate. I am a transfer student by the way.

University of Missouri - Columbia, Truslake college of Business, School of Accountancy
University of Minnesota - Twin cities, Carlson school of Management, Accounting.

According to Public Accounting Report, Mizzou has like top 15 accounting program in the nation. However, the school as a whole, even business school, seems not that famous or prestigious, However, it seems like UMN’s business school is a pretty famous school(Like top 20~25 business school in the nation), but relatively a low reputation on accounting program.

I was actually leaning toward Mizzou, but I heard many bad things about Mizzou now like financial crisis, racism scandals and shuting down student programs(well accountancy school is okay now. Very supportive from school and alumni). I don’t know it is still worthy enough to go for Mizzou to study accounting in this situation.

I wanna be an accountant hoping to work in Chicago near future. Considering reputation and internship opportunities, I wonder which school is better for me. Please help me out.

Does accounting at Mizzou really that famous in the nation? did people know about it?

To much thoughts,I cannot make a right decision, Please advise me!
