Please help me with school selection! UMN VS Mizzou (accounting)

Hey guys

Currently, I am having hard time deciding my school for my accounting degree(looking to apply next year as a transfer student)

University of Missouri - Columbia, Truslake college of Business, School of Accountancy
University of Minnesota - Twin cities, Carlson school of Management, Accounting.

According to Public Accounting Report, Mizzou has like top 15 accounting program in the nation. However, the school as a whole, even business school, seems not that famous or prestigious, However, it seems like UMN’s business school is well-known and structured(Like top 20~25 business school in the nation), but I really do not hear about their accounting program before.

I wanna be an accountant hoping to work in Chicago near future. Considering reputation and internship opportunities, I wonder which school is better for me. Please help me out.

Does accounting program at Mizzou really well-know across the nation? does people working in accounting field know about it?

To much thoughts,I cannot make a right decision, Please advise me!

Have u visited both? If not, you should to get a feel for the schools and talk to professors and students. Also, you can email a prof from both schools in school of business/accounting to gain info before you would visit. Don’t get caught up in the “prestige” of any university.
