"We urge you to earn the highest grades possible as you complete this academic year. To maintain our offer of admission, you must satisfy ALL of the following conditions:
You must complete all UC-transferable courses in the Winter and Spring 2014 terms with:
3.0 or higher GPA for each term.
No grade lower than a C for any individual course."

I got a C in my winter class. That would be a 2.0, correct? I took another course, which I got a B in, but that course is not transferable. The class I got a C in IS UC Transferable. Now what?! Am I completely screwed?

Oh… this could be serious. I mean it doesn’t mean just Berkeley, UCLA and pretty much everywhere has those requirements. You must have at least 3.0 in your spring semester/winter and spring quarters. Really, the only solution is to contact the admissions officer and see what he or she thinks/advises.

They may be willing to work with you on this. Just contact them and see what they have to say. They may not actually rescind your offer of admission, even if it says they will. After all, it’s really up to their discretion.

@CooCooCaChoo25 I am currently taking 3 UC-transferable classes for the Spring, but the winter session is already over. I have above a 3.0 in this Spring term… do you know what I mean? -.- I am so freaked out.

Darn, the winter session just ended last week for BYU … I wonder if there is anywhere that still has a “winter” session available. Dates don’t matter, only what term it says on your transcript.

Call them and ask ASAP. I know other students who were in a “only one class this semester” situation, and they managed to get some flexibility with the GPA requirement.

But definitely don’t SIR until you find out for sure.

Accepted by UCB, but I am taking three coursed this semester, and my GPA for the Spring will be lower than the required GPA. (3.0)
I am so worried, not sure what should I do. : (

@Couldbeit I emailed my Admissions Officer. I will let you know as soon as she replies. Keep your head up! Is there any way you can raise your grades before they are finalized?

@flowerchild747
than you so much, I am going to talk to the Representative from cal next monday, if there are some good news, I will let you know also. Good luck to both of us

@Couldbeit I am an English major. Also, I have not heard a response yet but I kept reading the conditions and I am starting to think the second part “No grade lower than a C for any individual course.” may cover my issue. Technically, it was an individual course as it was the only UC transferable course I took… What do you think?

Thank you for notifying me immediately of this problem. I would need a detailed response describing why you received this C grade and what you did to improve it. Unfortunately, this drop in GPA can potentially put your admission at risk.

Please respond as soon as possible so that I can work with you to maintain your admission.

@Couldbeit So I emailed her back with a lengthy explanation. I hope it turns out to be okay. I have to wait another 24-48 hours for a reply D:::::
