<p>I would like to know if I have selected appropriate schools for my major and grades/test scores. Please comment.</p>
<p>My unweighted GPA is 3.06 (through the first 3 years of high school)
My weighted GPA is 3.83
SAT: 2200/2400
ACT: 31</p>
<p>My 1st quarter GPA for senior year is a 3.71, much improved from the first 3 years</p>
<p>SAT Subject Tests:
Math II: 770
Physics: 690
US History: 780</p>
<p>I would like to major in some kind of engineering, preferable civil or environmental.</p>

<p>yeah UMass Amherst has engineering, Amherst College does not....those are 2 different schools, UMass is the Massachusetts' state college, Amherst is a private school</p>
<p>in response to your pm, I think you're qualified for all of them, although for the public schools I don't know how hard they are to get into OOS. You only have one school (Northeastern) that has an admit rate of <50%, so you definitely have good chances.</p>
<p>as for Pitt, I would guess that second reviews aren't uncommon for schools with rolling admissions but I'm not sure. there could be a lot of reasons they would do that.</p>
