Hello guys!
I am admitted into Chemical Engineering major for the Fall 2010 term, and I am currently applying for the iEFX; however, one of the two essay questions confuses me with the wording:
2.List two courses outside a standard engineering curriculum that you would most like to take. Briefly explain what interests you about these courses.

So what do they mean by the "standard engineering curriculum"? Are those the general education courses? Or they're different from major to major?
Thanks a lot for the help!

The deal with iefx is the interaction of engineering with the arts. Why do you think the ipod is so successful? Are people buying it because of is technical features, or more because of its ease of use and “coolness” factors? Collaboration between the hard sciences and the arts has the potential to produce revolutionary advances as opposed to just incremental, evolutionary gains. iefx is probably best described as the “thinking outside the box” elective for both left and right brained individuals imho.
