Please Help Me

Hi. I'm a freshman going into high school, and am new to this forum. I'm making this thread because I'm terrified. Let me tell you the story:

I did great in geometry, finishing with a not-too-shabby 98. I was really happy as I got advanced performance on the EOC as well. Yup, that was the worry-free life. Now, if you're wondering how I got in geometry in 8th grade, let me fill you in. In Texas, we have an exam called the CBE(Credit by Exam) which lets you skips a grade of a chosen course. Anyways, I skipped 7th grade math, and took Algebra as a 7th grader(finished with 98-but could've done better), and here I just finished geometry.

So a lot of my friends that took Precalculus said it was really easy and all. Even freshmen like me said it was easy. Therefore, a lot of my friends decided to skip Algebra II. So they studied a textbook and passed the CBE. My parents decided it would be useful for me to go to higher levels of math, so they made me study HARD, and I passed the CBE as well. I would've done better if I wasn't taking summer school at the same time, but I passed with a 93(90 is the passing score). I was excited, but soon it melted away. I'm now hearing more recent stories of how hard Precal is, and how it is very difficult to learn.

Hence, this is why I'm scared. If Precal is really that hard, am I on a one-way ticket to failure? Please guys, tell me the truth, and don't lie. My heart is pounding and I'm choking with worry each second. If it helps, I still have about a month before school starts, and still want to study EXTREMELY HARD in algebra 2 so I do good in Precal. Would I be okay then?

Sorry for wasting your time guys, but please inform me fast.

Pre calculus isn’t all that hard in my opinion. I never took the class but, I recently took a test after only a month and a half of self studying and was able to gain credit for the class. You’ll be fine. I felt like the first 4 chapters of pre-calclus (at least in Larson’s book) was all algebra review so, your class may actually begin on algebra 2 topics rather than pre-calc. You’ll be fine as long as you keep doing what you’re doing and improve your algebra before school starts. Also, make sure you know the unit circle very well; it helps alot in the trig section.
