Please Help ME!

I was SO set on UC Davis. Today I got accepted to CAl. . .and found out that it is cheaper to attend CAl than Davis!!!

I am independent. . .I need your guys' advice. I should NEVER have applied to CAl. Too much temptation. I was seriously annoyed by people angsting over UCLA Vs. Berkeley but now I feel your pain. I guess Cal has more resources for people cries

I need help. . my dad told me to ask advice and I think you are the best!!!

are you serious? Not only is it going to be cheaper to attend Cal, it is leagues better than Davis. You would have to be a total jackass to go to Davis over Cal if this is your situation.

I don’t think it is crazy to consider Davis over Cal. As shocked as I am that I got into Cal, I really don’t know which one I will choose (leaning towards Davis). Davis definitely seems like it is a happier place and has a better campus environment.

I know someone who got in as a transfer to both Cal and Davis. She chose Davis and is extremely happy. so no, it isn’t completely ridiculous to pick Davis over Berkeley. go with your heart!

@SFwarrior25: “better” is subjective

dont impose your value system on others

My girlfriend enjoys Davis more than she enjoyed Berkeley. She got into Berkeley as a freshmen and transferred to Davis after a couple years and is graduating from Davis. She loves it there. It’s a nicer campus to her, she likes the students more. It’s hard for me because she wants to stay in Nor Cal and I just got rejected from both Cal and Davis. :(

But honestly, have you ever visited Cal Flwrgirl?

Don’t underestimate debt.

I am getting input from my family: my sis and bro say Berkeley my mom and dad said to pray about it (not helping me at all) and another friend said Davis.

I won’t even ask my younger sister because the fact that I even applied to Berkeley means she “won’t talk to me/disowns me”

To be honest, I have been to both campuses and I feel my inclination leaning toward Davis because of the atmosphere (family oriented, good schools for my kids, and healthy living).

I mean, if I was by myself then heck yeah I would choose Berkeley in a heartbeat.
But I like the environment in Davis for my kids.

I dunno T–T

And Essenar, I was born and raised in the East Bay and went on numerous exursions to the school. I remember huge crowds, and a beautiful view of San Francisco @ Lawrence Hall of Science’s cafeteria

I wouldn’t like to think of myself as a “jackass” so much as someone looking out for my children lol.
