I currently go to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Here are my credentials for High School and College.

Highly regarded private high school:
86.4 Average
1200 SATS
29 ACT
Varsity Hockey-Captain 2 years
Chorus
National Honor Society

Miami University:
Freshman: 1st Semester: 3.1, 2nd Semester: 1.65 (Pledged a fraternity and it severely affected my grades)

Sophomore: Around a 3.5 cumulative (estimate)

I'm in a fraternity and a business club.

I know essays are important in college admissions, and I am a very good writer so factor that in as well. With those credentials what caliber of schools could I gain admittance to? Would it not be worth transferring?

Why do you want to leave?

that is kind of irrelevant but I do not think Business is the major I want to pursue anymore and although I love it here, being from the east coast, an arts and sciences degree from Miami does not really hold much weight. I came here for business because it is a top 20 undergraduate program.

so, which CAS will hold water in your mind?

Show us your sophomore grade After you finish this semester, than we shall discuss the transfer.

You need to define your potential major(s) in order to find a better fit for yourself. You also need to sit down with your parents and discuss your budget. When you know those two things, you will have a better idea of where to start your search.

Since you belong to a fraternity, you might want to investigate other colleges/universities where there are chapters of that frat. Your brothers in those chapters may be good sources of information about those institutions.
