I am a level 9 gymnast in USAG competitive gymnastics, I've done gymnastics for 10+ years in private club. Junior year I will be switching to high school varsity. I train four days a week for four hours year round. I volunteer at fundraisers and helping little kids. I have volunteered at a major hospital and hospice for many years and will continue for 4 years. This summer I am attending the summer college at Cornell. I did a research project on my visit to China for credit. Junior year I am also participating in Track as well as varsity gymnastics. I am a tutor for my old grade school. I am in pride club, free the children, and french club. Next year I will be a wildcat focus mentor where I volunteer a period everyday to help incoming freshmen (leadership role). Every saturday morning I volunteer teaching little kids gymnastics. Next summer I have an internship lined up at the Cleveland Clinic where i will be conducting research and presenting it at a conference.

i haven't taken the ACT or SATs yet but I will next year and based off practice tests I expect to get in the 30's of ACT.

My passion is gymnastics since its been apart of my life since I was 3. I am state and regional qualifier. I would have done college but can't due to injuries.
Please help!!! My main interests are in Cornell, Northwestern, and Notre Dame

What else can I do to improve my chances?

I think you have a good shot. Try and get 2200+ on SAT and 33+ on ACT and I think you’ll have done everything you can. If you don’t get in, it will probably be due to luck as these are some very strong stats. Good luck! :)

(Feel free to chance me lol)

Personally, I think that you are almost guaranteed to get admitted to the University of Rochester, especially if you get a 30 or above on the ACT. The others are all “reaches” for everybody.

Make sure to apply to more schools like Rochester. Pre-med? Apply to Johns Hopkins and Case Western Reserve. Two good Catholic universities, Saint Louis University and Loyola of Chicago, have medical schools, so pre-med could be smart choice for those as well.

Also worth considering are Tulane in New Orleans (similar to Rochester and also has a medical school), plus University of Portland in Oregon (which is the sister school of Notre Dame). Both have far more pleasant winters than the others mentioned above. You are very likely to get admitted to Tulane and UP.
