Please help: Postmarked by March 2nd or...

they must have recieved it by March 2nd? If its number 2, I'm SOL.

EDIT: I'm talking about Californias State deadline for FAFSA

If California is like Massachusetts, they mean received by.... Sorry for the bad news....

Of course if you did it online, received by is instantaneous.

I wouldn't completely give up hope, though. If they do have extra money (ha ha) they will next go to the round of applicants right after March 1 (at least this is the way that Massachusetts does its scholarship -- it is often the case that they wind up going about a month past their stated deadline, but of course it all depends on funding)!

Does postmarked mean recieved? Or just post office recieving by you?

did they say postmarked, or recieved?

dude. postmark means postmark. it's not received by the 2

Wow, that seems to cut so close. Chances are I'll mail my apps really close centered also. I had always figured, postmarked meant there would be a stamp on the app from the Post Office.

well, I got my FAFSA in online, though I had to do the "print, sign and mail" deal, so thats fine. As for Cal Grant, I'm hearing it is supposed to be postmarked by March 2nd, and mine was mailed today. Oh well, I'm crossing my fingers...thanks people.
