okay so heres my situation. I am in 11th grade, around a b-b+ student and recently received a 1600 on my psat. About a month later, studying for about 3 hours a day including a very expensive sat tutor twice a week and now feel so much more confident. My main question was if I sat down and studied for 3-4 hours a day, and hired another tutor making me have an SAT tutor 3 times a week, do you think a dramatic increase is poSsible? Have you heard any stories of people dramatically increasing? My goal is 1950-2100, is that unrealistic or should I continue at the pace that I am working at and acheive my dreams? please tell me what you think...very curious

umm i went abroad to france and china for one year respectively, and when i got back at the beginning of gr. 10 i had really bad scores. my first practice test was around 1700. now, after a year of prepping occasionally, i just received 2260 during january. so it is possible if you keep at it.

good luck!

No, do not hire a second tutor. That's a waste of money. Just practice!!

I have seen students achieve similar increases.

If your previous tutor helped you feel a lot more confident, I don't think you need a second one. Just stick with the first one and practice.

At the same time, I will say that some SAT/ACT tutors are much better than others. . . so if you have a good reason to think the second tutor is better, like a referral from a friend or a proven track record, you should switch. But working wth two tutors at the same time would likely lead to confusion and redundancy.
