Please Help! Re: Changing Grade

I asked my TA for a grade change as I received a 93 in lab even though I scored a 100% on all of the lab reports that were returned back to me. (I asked about is because if my lab grade was a couple of points higher my grade for the course would be an A.)

So I emailed my TA asking him how he had calculated my lab grade and he responded by saying,

“How I calculated grades was...as lenient as possible. While I don't have the individual grades per lab anymore, I do know I gave you a 93 overall (a couple late labs lower your grade, but otherwise excellent work.)”

However, I did not turn in any labs late and the scores for all the lab reports that were returned back to me were 10/10. There were a couple times that I did not attend my scheduled lab period with my TA because I had other conflicts but I contacted the lab coordinator to makeup the labs at a different time that week and put the lab report in my TA’s mailbox immediately. I already emailed my TA a month ago and explained this to him
but he has not responded and so I am asking you all for advice on what I could do about it.

Thanks!

Check your college catalog and/or contact the registrar's office to find out what the formal grade appeals process is. All schools should have one.

Thank you. Anyone else have any advice?

This is not a time for e-mail. Go see your TA in person. If this doesn't work or can't be done, you should meet in person with either a supervising professor (the lab coordinator?) or the dept. chairperson. If all of this fails, then go through whatever formal appeals process your school has. Ask your advisor or someone in the registrar's or academic advising office if you need help.
