You might want to take a look at the [BS in Economics and Mathematical Sciences](http://www.tepper.cmu.edu/current-students/current-economics-undergraduates/academic-information/bs-in-economics-and-mathematical-sciences/index.aspx</a>) jointly offered by the Tepper School of Business and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. It is a very rigorous program and an excellent preparation for future graduate studies (PhD) in economics.

bumpppppp…

bump bump bump

cr, are you an Indian national who will be applying as an international? Do you need (or want) financial aid? If yes, does your family qualify for need based aid? Your citizenship and your financial situation will have a huge bearing on your list.

You might take a looks at some smaller schools that are international friendly and also have good track records on Wall Street, plus South Asians are considered URMs. Amherst, Williams, Hamilton, Bowdoin, Carlton, Macalester.

Also, if you are eligible, apply as early as possible to Michigan under their rolling admissions policy.

yes im an indian applying as an international. i am not asking for aid.

NYU Stern, i’m surprised that’s not on your list already.

Chicago, Dartmouth, and Duke obviously come to mind. They’re right behind HYPS and Wharton for placement into the major banks.

[University of Chicago: Department of Economics](http://economics.uchicago.edu/)

[Dartmouth College Economics Department](http://www.dartmouth.edu/~economic/)

[Duke University Department of Economics](http://www.econ.duke.edu/)
[Markets & Management Studies](http://www.markets.duke.edu/)

Be aware that you cannot apply to Haas as a freshman. Only about half of Berkeley applicants get into Haas.

Can you help me out with a college that offers scholarships to foreign students and has a good economics or economatrix major.

Do you mean econometrics?
