Please help

Hey I'm a senior in a smal suburban area. It's rialto, Ca. Not very exciting but I want to know my chances of ED at one of the Ivy leagues...... Columbia especially.
My weighted GPA is 4.28 but my unweighted GPA is 3.96.
I've taken a total of 5 ap classes so far and another 5 this year. I've been in academic decathlon and mock trial for 2 years . I'm the captain of the varsity golf team as well as a former section leader of my jazz band and marching band for 3 years. I've played the tenor sax for 7 years, I'm pretty good at it.
I only have 5 B's on my transcript but 4 of them have been in freshman year. The rest of my grades, except first semester of AP US history have been all A's.
I'm a member of a youth group at my local church and I have over 100+ hours of community service.
However, my Achilles heel has to be my SAT score of 1620..... I know, horrible. But that is due largely to the fact that I've taken it once and I was in a legal situation that took large amounts of time away from studying.

This is something that has been bugging me and I don't even know if I should apply....
I'm Hispanic born to immigrant parents. (If that means anything at all)
I want to major in biochemistry or just apply undecided but I would really like to know if it is even worth my time, money, and sleepless nights to apply ED for Columbia or any ivy for that matter!

Your grades seem alright for Columbia, but like you said, your SAT isn’t up to par to say the least. Do you have a chance to retake it? If so, definitely do it and study hard, and try it get it 2100+. Your 5 B’s should not matter THAT much. yes, it will do a little damage, but since you said it was freshman year, I assuming you have a strong upward trend-an attribute that colleges look for.

I think that if you can get your SAT’s above 2100 (or even try the act because sometimes it works better for certain people), then I think you would have a shot at Columbia. (I’m applying there too)

Lastly, I know Columbia puts an emphasis on their essays, so if you do a really good job, I think you have a solid chance! Good luck! :)
