Congrats on your hard work and success in high school. The schools on your list seem like very reasonable targets. I’ve visited Syracuse, Rochester, BU, and Ithaca. All very good schools. Do any other SUNYs appeal? What is your budget for college? According to the Net Price Calculator (NPC), do they seem affordable?
You seem to be leaning toward urban schools (for the most part). What about University of Pittsburgh? It gives generous aid. I’ve seen that Clark University in Worcester, MA meets full financial need. It has Chinese and Finance. We love the University of Vermont. Burlington it a fantastic college town. It also has Chinese/Finance. It is generally expensive for OOS though.
In Ohio, you could think about the University of Cincinnati and Miami of Ohio. Both offer C/F. Below is a concise chart that shows the range of merit aid you might expect. It looks like you could perhaps receive more aid from a slightly higher SAT score. Good luck!
Run the NPC’s on all.
Will your be HEOP/EOP eligible?
What about the free tuition program?
I would add SUNY Albany and SUNY Geneseo, both overall better than Oswego and for your academic interests
