<p>When a college application says to submit a one-page essay, are they expecting one page single or double spaced? Does anyone have any experience/knowledge regarding this question? Thanks :)</p>

<p>If there aren’t guidelines, do whatever works to your advantage haha!
If you can make your essay short and sweet (which is preferable, I think), then double space it. If you can’t, single space it. For example, my Penn “page-long” essay is single spaced, but my Caltech “page-long” essay is double spaced.</p>
