Please take a look at my profile :)

Hey, everyone. I've been reading CC for a while, but I'm new to posting.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me some feedback on my stats and some suggestions on schools to look at.

I'm a white female junior, going to a slightly-below-average public HS in a middle-class suburb in central OH.

I've taken the most demanding courseload at my school. I took all honors, AP Statistics as a sophomore (4), and I'm taking AP Chemistry and AP Calc AB, and French IV through Kenyon College this year. I'm in a humanities and Engligh magnet program for half of the day, so I'm not taking those APs, but I'm considering taking the AP Lang&Comp exam. I've taken three community college courses (Comparative Religion (A), Graphic Design (A), and Italian (C)).

My weighted GPA is around a 3.2 right now. (Freshman year = 4.133, Sophomore year = 2.7). I'll probably be able to pull a 4.46 this year, making my cummulative W = 3.51.

There will be a short explanation of my atrocious sophomore year on my applications (no pity-party excuses).

My senior year will be spent at my magnet program and a full load at either OSU or a community college through dual-enrollment (all college grades will be weighted @ HS). I'll also be taking three CC courses this summer.

I haven't taken the SAT or ACT yet, but I test well and my average practice SAT hovers around 2350. (Sophomore PSAT = 224)

ECs:
Mock Trial: (9)
French Club: (President; 9, 10)
Gay-Straight Alliance: (Founder, President; 10, 11) - Very active/time-intensive
Youth Liason for Qualia, a GLBT conference put on by OSU

Awards:
AMC 10 School Winner (10)
Wordmasters Champion - perfect score (10)

Summer:
9: Junior Statesmen Symposium @ OSU, Comparative Religions @ CC

10: Ohio Honors Institute in Philosophy @ Ohio Northern

My current list looks like this:

Northeastern
Macalester
SUNY Stony Brook
U Maryland College Park
Penn State
Hofstra
Clark
New College of Florida
Boston U
OSU
Temple
University of Washington
Goucher
UMass Amherst
UVM
Ithaca College

Any additions, anything unrealistic that should be taken off?

Thanks in advance!

Boston University and Northeastern. GPA is low for those schools.

BUMP, anyone? ;)

Hey, easy now. She's only a junior. If you raise your gpa and show a clear upward trend with your grades, there's no reason why you can't get into any of those schools on the list, especially if you score as well on the SAT as you think you will. Good luck, remember the important thing is that you raise your grades significantly this year, as junior year is the most important of all in college admissions. If you do that you'll be fine.
