Please talk to your kids about suicide

<<26?!?!? They didn’t tell me that when I signed up for this gig!>>

Kidding aside, this is a very valuable post, Exie, thanks…

But, Exie, I would have certainly yelled at my son too if he got a 90 on his first math test…
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!!

<<maybe this=“” thanksgiving=“” we=“” throw=“” in=“” a=“” few=“” extra=“” hugs…=“”>></maybe>

My son and I agreed to 1,000 hugs this holiday to make up for lost time.

As he said to me last night…“#4…”
Looking forward to the next 996.

Ditto! I didn’t learn about that whole brain development thing until after the second child. I asked my hubby if I could sue him for “non-disclosure.” (smile) I thought we’d be done at 18. We’re braced for the bumpy ride (smile)!

And when my daughter stumbled on a test (I commiserated). When she excelled on the second we celebrated the success. She was shouting louder than I was!

And RBG2, those hugs are a life saver. I’ve had at least 100 in the last few days, half initiated by the kid who used to scream “No PDA’s mom!” when people were around. I realized there is only 2 weeks between the end of Thanksgiving and the next break. Can’t come soon enough!

Happy Holidays all!

I’ve already had the drugs & alcohol talk, but I am still strategizing how I am going to get into the suicide talk. It will happen before HS, though…
