PLME Essay

Is a 921 word (page and a half) essay too much for the PLME application?

Nope. Mine were actually longer than that. There’s a reason the PLME admissions staff don’t put a word limit on the essays - they want to read however much you have to say. That’s not to say that longer is better, though - write as much as you need to write, then stop.

Does the Brown Admissions committee read the PLME essay?

^good questions, I have no clue-can someone answer this?

No. If admissions thinks that you are “PLME material,” they will send the essay over to the med school and they will decide if you are accepted or not (and read your well-written essays). Applying to PLME has no impact on actual decisions.

My understanding is if you are admissible to Brown, and if you checked the PLME box, your application will be sent to PLME committee.
