does the brown college admissions committee see the PLME-specific essays? or do they only read the commonapp and general brown undergrad essays, and if the applicant is accepted to brown college then only the medical school committee reads the PLME ones?

hmmm…interesting question. I’d assume that they only see the Common App+Supp Essays not PLME…

i had the same question :(

I would assume admissions reads everything. Does it matter? Would you write a different essay if admissions does read it?

the reason we ask, or at least for me, is that I want them to see all sides of me - which the commonapp and supplement provides. If only the medical school officers read my PLMEs, they don’t have the same knowledge about me as the normal adcoms do.

And that’s why I think admissions reads everything. And then the entire application – all essays – is sent to the med school.

And it is possible that everything is first sent to the med school, they make their decision, and then regular admissions makes its decision.
