My common app essay talks about my life with Turner Syndrome and my PLME essay talks about it a bit as well. Is that ok? Or will they read both my common app and my PLME essays?
If the Brown admission committee decides to admit you, they’ll send your entire file over to the PLME adcom, who will have access to your Common App essay as well. No harm in discussing something if it’s a big part of your life, but the essays should be different enough.
@bruno14 does the PLME adcom only see your common app and 2 PLME supplements? or do they also see your 4 brown supplements, resumes, research supplements, and everything else on the common application (etc: school, ethnicity, extracurricular activities)? Thank you so much!
They see your entire application. Everything.
@bruno14 how do you know? do you work there? (just wondering, i want to be 100% that they read my common app)
I was/am a PLME (medical student now). I know because I’ve talked to the PLME admissions committee about it.
And I’ve heard admissions directors confirm that the whole file gets sent over.
