PLME summer program?

I know this sounds weird, but hear me out.

My uncle was accepted to Brown sometime in the '80s (I think class of 86? not sure) and he applied to PLME. He did get accepted into the College but not into PLME.
However, he was given the option of coming to PVD for the summer and doing this program in which he took a science course and an elective course, along with completing hours in a hospital.
At the end of the program, they said he could pursue PLME if he wished. I’m wondering if this is still offered? Probably not, but does anyone have more info on it? Just curious. Thanks!

No, this program hasn’t existed in years.

^but it did in fact exist? Do they mention it to PLMEs because I had never heard of it

I’ve heard of it in passing from med school faculty who went to the med school way back when. My impression is that it hasn’t existed since the early 90’s or so.
