***Question about PLME***

Is it in any way possible to apply to the PLME program after being accepted to Brown?

I applied and was admitted this year, but I did not apply to PLME, and I was just wondering if there have ever been any instances in which a person has been admitted to PLME after getting in just the school?

I know the admissions processes for the school and for PLME are separate (the application is reviewed by the admissions office and after the student is admitted to the school, the application is then sent to officials who determine if the student is admitted to PLME).

Thanks!

“There is no point of transfer into the PLME. Students are not considered for transfer from other Brown degree programs or from another college.”

Not only that, but I have known at least one student who got into PLME, and turned it down and came to Brown as a “regular student”. It was complicated, they were misinformed at that time and thought that they had to go to Brown med, and could not apply to any other med school. (not true, but now if you do you do lose your PLME slot at Brown med.) Anyway, asked when they got to Brown if they could be reconsidered, and answer was “no”.

Unfortunately no, there isn’t. But Brown is the best place to be a pre-med student!
