im applying to rutgers sas new brunswick at the end of this year and im truly confused my gpa was fine and then i had a death in my family which caused my grades to drop one year of hs, due to me being unfocused.

2.8 gpa
2100 sat
Nj resident
1 ap, 3 college classes
some clubs including prestige volunteering club for NJ state
100 + volunteer hours

With the SAT score, there is a decent shot that you will get in, but the GPA is very low. GOod luck If your guidance counselor can explain the drop in your GPA I think your in.
