For the common app,
1. do we just have to send two teacher recommendations, or can we send more. and
2.can other teacher recommendations be for whom to concern letters.
3. also, for additional information sections, what do they want. i gave another essay in that section.
4. how exactly do the supplements work? can we jus finish the supplements and send online, or is their ne other special thing we have to send to univs?

bump some1 plz help me i need it soon

1) Just use two teacher recommendations. Don't overdo it. As the saying goes "the thicker the file, the thicker the applicant". Only send more than 2 if you are getting one from outside of school, like a professor or someone who knows you well and has worked with you.

2) See 1

3) Additional Information is just that. Additional information. Put anything there that you don't think was conveyed in your application. I would not recommend putting another essay here. Just put some more brief info on ECs, etc.

4) You have to do the Common App and Supplement. Most supplements are online and you can just do them there. Common App has most of the supplements, just check the "Supplements" tab.

thank you that cleared up quite a lot of information. and btw why would they not want another essay...do u have some recommendation on wut to put in it?...shud i mention that i want to take sat 2 in january 27th in that section.

They honestly don't want to read another essay....they will already be reading 2-3 between the Common App and the Supplemental essays. A recommendation for what to put on it? Anything that is not explained well enough in your app. Personally, I'm telling more ECs that I could not fit in their space, and explaining my main ECs more.

Not sure about the SAT 2 question. Under test scores, I think you can put tests that you plan to take, but have not taken yet.

Does anybody use up all 6000 characters for the Additional Info? I don't have spectacular ECs, and my extra info ended up being pathetically short, like 300 characters.

Additional info is optional. You don't have to use up all the space. Admissions doesn't want to have to read more than necessary.

I mean, to be competitive for a selective univeresity (like the ivies) would they expect a long additional list of ECs?

They might. :) Make sure that you detail your specific responsibilies and accomplishments.
