PNP at Wash U

I will be enrolling in the Olin business school in the fall and plan to major in finance. I hear that it is very popular to double major in other schools at wash u. One that caught my eye was PNP. I have read extensively about the program and am very interested. I was wondering how demanding it is relative to other majors at wash u (I understand that they will all be demanding) and how manageable it is to balance a finance and pnp major. Thank you

Have you joined the Wash U accepted students Facebook group? A current sophomore posted to the group asking if anyone had questions about anything, and she’s a PNP major. Check there!

Thank you!

I am a PNP major. I think you will have a challenge double majoring in finance and PNP. Not because of difficulty but because of the number of courses required for PNP. Being an interdisciplinary major PNP has more course requirements (philosophy, neuroscience and psychology). You also have the IQ requirements (overall undgrad requirementa). I am also premed (which adds a few requirements) and I don’t have many free courses.

Thank you. Two things I forgot to add: I absolutely have to graduate in four years and am playing a sport, so that only makes things less manageable. Just out of curiosity, exactly how many credits is required for PNP? On the website, they have a total number of units required for almost all majors except for PNP. Could you give me an estimate on this? I’m assuming it depends on what track you take

It’s a very unique program that only Wash U has and you can cater it to your specific interests.
