Hey is anyone else applying for the Pogue Scholarship? I'm OOS from Florida so I'm just kinda wondering if anyone knows what my chances are. It's kinda my one hope of being able to afford going.

hey! i'm OOS and doing Pogue too.... have you finished all the writing yet?????

Hah. I'm almost done. But I somehow have to locate my newspaper teacher to write the recommendation for me lol Good thing I have their cell #

What are you writing about for your leadership one?

oh i wrote about how i had to become a leader for my family after my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (debilitating so i have to do a lot for her)

omg..hey guys! im doing the pogue scholarship too .. i applied to the school for the early deadline and then i kinda lost hope because people told me how hard it is to get into if you are from out of state ...soo i completely lost track of time with the pogue scholarship..i have a question..where it says that its due on january 5th (receipt not postmark) .. does that literally mean you have to send it in way before the fifth so that the receipt is mailed to you BY the fifth? because its definitely the fourth today..and i was gonna mail it today .. =/

I also applied OOS. It sounds like this is the first year OOS people can apply for the Pogue.

"Previously available only to applicants
from the state of North Carolina, the Pogue Scholarship
is now available for the first time to applicants from
out-of-state as well."

It's not the first year..
They had it available last year for oos
