So, I was accepted at Point Park for acting back in late February. I read over on the MT forum that Point Park was putting students on the waitlist since they've filled their spots. I'm attempting to make my decision but I don't want to even consider PP if this is the case. Does anyone know if acting is full as well as MT? I'm thinking about calling the school if no one here knows. I was just seeing if I could get any information here first.

Point Park is rather confusing last year they somehow ended up with only 6 acting majors as usual the M.T. Department has all the action!

typecast, I’m certain there are more than six acting majors in PPU’s class of 2015. Also, what do you mean by “as usual the M.T. department has all the action.” Just curious.

Before I declined my offer to the acting program at PPU, I received an email asking me if I wanted to confirm one of the 5 spots LEFT for Acting. This was about a week ago.

Last year I was accepted to their Acting program gossip on the PP Acting Facebook page was there were only a few Acting people accepted because somehow the Acting Department mixed up and all the consideration went to the Mt’s. I no that sounds strange but, even those attending PP said that was indeed the case.

typecast, it sounds strange because it’s not the case. I’m not saying that wasn’t the (misinformed) word going around last spring and I’m not sure if they had some communication issues and that was bandied about on the FB page, but I am 100% certain there were more than five people accepted into their Acting program and there are definitely many more than five people in the PPU class of 2015 for acting. The moral: Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. By the way, I’ve heard from some folks at PPU that the class of 2015 is a very strong one between the MT’s and Acting majors.
