<<< Pointless Classes. Let's have them. >>>

Gym: stupid
Drivers Ed:even stupider, failed the test by getting a 78 w/o studying then studied tons and got an 80. 80 is passing.
American Studies: haven't learned a think except how he got beat up my Mexicans. but nice best best class for sleeping
Spanish: uhhhh...boring?

yea. i know!

i practically use my african history skillz everyday!

and almost everyone wants to go into a major on historical literature.

^ You have those classes?

aw hell gurl, i could tell you anything you need to know about the amish, mexican independence, and the UDHR (i think this one is incredibly important).

classes like this are academically extremely easy, but i do think its important for everyone to be exposed to different cultures and issues of human rights and global security

but i prefer doing research papers/projects. and in-depth level of study.

Health - None of this stuff is at all new or helpful to me.

Honors Physics - I could actually like this subject, but our teacher sucks.

I LOL'd. Hard.

I like AP World.
I think some aspects of it are interesting but there are times when I just want to get it over with. It can get pretty boring.

Pointless classes I've taken

Contemporary Literature - We've watched Pleasantville 3 times, and Big Fish twice. We don't really read books, we just watch movies. This class is a joke.

Integrated Science Honors - Biggest joke of a class I've ever had.

senior survival: If you don't know how to make easy mac, chances are college isn't right for you.

Honors Chem: could be good, but my teacher can't figure out how to teach or more importantly connect the concepts we learn to ANYTHING. And by anything, I mean like the rest of chemistry.

Honors Alg II: again, could be good but we're on chapter 3 because of all the whiny kids and their parents who call the school and scream that it's the teacher's fault that the kid is failing so we have to slow way down and spend the entire class going over the homework that I don't ever do since there is no need to do it. rant over

Gym: self-explanatory

AP Euro: I don't really think I will ever use European history. I like the class but absolutely hate the reading. The tests are on the randomest details so I still can't figure out how to study for them.

Theology: the class has the opposite effect it's supposed to. I think they're trying to make us despise Christianity as a whole.

Dance: mandatory. The most ridiculous thing ever. When you can't figure out how to do the dance you have to dance by yourself in front of the entire class.

dance? do you go to polishing school or something?

English ftl.

honors alg 2-- when are u ever going to learn that stuff in the world

uh...whats so funny?

I go to this all girls school that is very feministic (like feminist, no femine) but this crazy art teacher came up to the administration and presented some "research" that proved that girls who took dance were more confident and so now it's mandatory for one quarter a year in place of gym.

that sucks, they have dance+ cpr has a health class..but you have a choice of 3 or 4 different gym/health classes.

Do you go to an all girls school or are only girls required to take it, or is it everyone?

we only have one term of health then thats it, although we do have HIV week every year but that just means no gym for that week. As for gym i love it so no worries

Our school works on a major system, much like college, so classes are pretty concentrated and relevant to what your major is. i can't say ive ever taken a class that i really never liked, or thought was necessary, in high school.

Now junior high is a different story...

she says she goes to an all girls school...i assume she means that she goes to an all girls school

Everything.
I want to be some sort of writer - what class helps with this?

Math: no
Science: no
Spanish: no
History: no
English: no. I can write just fine without being formally "taught" how to write.

high school is a joke and I can't wait another year and a half for it to end. Oh the agony. It pains me to think about just how far away that is.
