<<< Pointless Classes. Let's have them. >>>

^ Not only is it enjoyable, but it also gives me 40-45 minutes of exercise that I don't have time to to do everyday.

Gym is the highlight of my day (depending on what we're doing, some units are more boring than others.)

Gym gives you exercise? How? No, throwing and catching rubber chickens does not qualify as exercise I think?

ROFL, what??? You throw and catch rubber chickens in gym?

I heard a rumor (probably apocryphal, though I hope otherwise!) that my PE class is doing ballroom dancing next quarter. Which is much better than the alternative--basketball. I'm 5'3" and have bad aim. Basketball is definitely NOT for me. :p

haha, we played ping pong in gym. its such a joke.

haha yes we do that along with square dancing, yoga(aka nap time) and carrying glasses of water without spilling them...how difficult? lol. Gym is a joke during sophomore year at my school.

our school has a gym class called stress management where you do yoga, weight lifting, and visualization. it is the biggest joke ever. like... visualization?!?!? if yoga you actually have to move, the whole point of visualization is to lie down with your eyes closed

The only one that was required that I thought was so useless and made me so angry that I wrote a rant on it was Health.

Which ties into gym. Rant two.

gym here is just plain old gym. every 2 weeks we do a different unit.
eh..whatever.

ahhhh the useless classes that schools come up with.

How can you guys knock gym? It's one of my favorite classes and gives me a much needed break in the school day. I don't know how I would survive if I couldn't look forward to lunch and basketball. I mean you'd have to be a complete loser to not enjoy gym. I could understand if you didn't like it, however, because of something like your gym teacher forcing everyone to play boring sports like soccer. Between 5 APs and a language, gym is absolutely a vital part of the school experience. I can't stand those kids who do nothing in team sports and ruin the game for everyone else.

I'm with this, but meh, I guess some other schools don't actually do real "gym".

yea I couldn't live without gym to break up my schedule and give me a break I live in illinois where its mandatory and my school has some pretty good and sctually strenuous options to choose from...like lap swim, weight lifting, basketball, soccer, etc

web design and yearbook, both classes were pretty much my study classes, I would finish my homework from other classes or play games

I don't see how anyone could hate gym. Take a break from the books once in awhile.
