Political Economy Marketability Question

Straight forward, I was wondering how marketable is a degree in Political Economy from Berkeley? What kind of job can you get with a Bachelors in that major?

The major is really what you make of it. I am now at the LSE doing a master’s and it was great preparation for my coursework here. I do recommend taking Econ 100A and 100B over the IAS series, along with econometrics (unless you plan on going to law school:). The latter is one class I really regret not taking. The major can be a bit “quant-lite” unless you plan your courses carefully. Great prep for a gov/NGO career. I have a friend who went straight to Google with it, along with other friends who’ve successfully made transitions to business careers, so biz careers are obtainable too. Of course, a Haas BS (and possibly econ) would be better in that department on the whole.

All in all, interesting coursework with a lot of flexibility.
