Political Economy of Industrial Societies Input

Are there any students out there who are currently participating in this interdisciplinary program and what has been your experience?

I'm definitely considering it. People who have done it all tell me they love it. There are A LOT of requirements though, and then there's the concentration, which you choose. That provides some flexibility. I've taken two of the pre-req classes (Econ 2 and International and Area Studies 45). IAS45 with Karras was a fantastic class.

It's not an easy major though, from what I can tell, especially b/c there's so much econ required.

What types of jobs are people with that major moving on to? Are they being hired by the government? Or are they pursueing an MBA? Also you stated something about the concentration. Does that mean you focus on a particular industry or field like energy? And after answering all of this... is it a difficult major to declare or is it pretty much just complete the pre-req and you are in?

Any advice or input would be great! Thank you.
