PEIS Major @ Cal

I was looking at an email i got from Berkeley and it seems that Political Economy of Industrial Societies (PEIS) seems a lot more like what I want to do (public policy/consulting), but I got in as an econ major and I'm wondering if this is like a "downgrade."

This seems to be a non-impacted major and from what I can tell would potential employers consider this as an easy way to an economics degree?

Also, it is possible to double major in lets say Econ/PEIS and Math/Applied Math?

PEIS has a lot of requirements. Work out what's required and when things are offered and see if it's doable.

Check the career center website for what people have done with econ and peis degrees.

What are you talking about? You mean you got in as L&S? All L&S applicants get put into L&S; you have to declare a major later.

damn gabe. what's up with you're attitude? lol, i mean alrite, i applied as an econ major and got admitted into L&S and my point was that my prereq classes were centered around getting an econ degree and wanted some more information about it. relaaax...
